Shrewsbury 50K
The Shrewsbury 50K is an officially measured ultramarathon covering 50K between Church Stretton and Shrewsbury. The event is the reverse leg of the Church Stretton 50K and begins with the Burway climb before a longer descent back to Shrewsbury Quarry, the finish location.
Registration and the start line are at Rectory Fields in Church Stretton. The route is officially measured and has been manually measured to the centimetre using a measuring wheel. Marshals on the course receive consistent praise from participants. A bespoke medal is produced each year for finishers. Technical running T shirts are available for an additional charge. A free bag transfer is provided from the start line to the finish line. Participants who complete both the Church Stretton 50K and the Shrewsbury 50K are eligible to receive a Shropshire Challenge medal.
The event date is Saturday 19th September 2026. The minimum entry age is 16. Dogs and prams are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
