Shotley 24

Shotley 24 is a 24 hour trail running and camping weekend held on the Shotley peninsula in Suffolk, with Race HQ at Shotley Village Hall. The event uses a fully marked coastal lap of 4.3 miles that includes farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath. Entrants may compete as a solo runner, in pairs, or in teams of up to six, and the minimum age is 18 on the event date.

Entry includes overnight camping and campervanning at Race HQ, event parking, toilets and use of an indoor area with kitchen facilities and complimentary tea and coffee. Checkpoints are restocked with food and drink at the end of each lap. Competitors receive a Coastal Trail Runners vest after completing one lap or more and a bespoke medal; solo runners completing 100+ miles receive a unique vest. Other event services include chip timing, medical cover, complimentary massages, a Core & More Pilates warm up and solo and team prizes. Optional extras listed by the organiser include a bacon roll and coffee Sunday morning and a food van on Saturday evening. The event is licensed by the TRA and held under UK Athletics Rules.
