Shotley 24
Shotley 24 is a 24 hour trail running and camping event held on the Shotley peninsula in Suffolk, with Race HQ at Shotley Village Hall in Stutton. The event runs across the weekend of 17 to 18 July 2027 and is open to solo runners, pairs and teams of up to six people. The minimum age to enter is 18.
Competitors complete repeated laps of a fully marked coastal trail loop of 4.3 miles. The lap includes farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath. Race HQ provides overnight camping and campervanning included in the entry fee; camping is for runners only. Event facilities at Race HQ include parking, toilets, an indoor area with kitchen access and complimentary tea and coffee.
Support during the event includes restocked checkpoint food and drink at the end of each lap, chip timing, medical cover and complimentary massages. Entrants receive a Coastal Trail Runners vest after one lap, a unique vest for solo runners who complete 100 or more miles and a bespoke medal for all competitors. Solo and team prizes are awarded and a Pilates warm up is offered. Optional extras listed by the organiser include a food van Saturday evening and a Sunday bacon roll and coffee from the adjacent pub.
