Shotley 24
Shotley 24 is a 24 hour trail running and camping event held on the Shotley peninsula in Suffolk with race headquarters at Shotley Village Hall. Competitors may enter as a solo runner, in pairs, or in teams of up to six. Participants complete laps of a fully marked coastal trail measuring 4.3 miles per lap that includes farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath.
Entry is open to those aged 18 or older. Camping and campervanning at race HQ are included in the entry fee and are reserved for runners only. The event provides chip timing, medical cover, restocked checkpoint food and drink at the end of each lap, event parking, toilets and an indoor area with kitchen facilities and complimentary tea and coffee.
Attendees receive a Coastal Trail Runners vest for completing one lap or more, a bespoke medal for all competitors, and solo and team prizes. Solo runners who complete 100 or more miles receive a unique vest. The weekend programme includes a Core & More Pilates warm up and complimentary massages. Optional extras listed by the organiser include a Sunday bacon roll and coffee and a Saturday evening food van.
