Shotley 24
Shotley 24 is a 24 hour camping and trail running weekend on the Shotley peninsula, taking place 18 to 19 July 2026 at Shotley Village Hall, The Street, Shotley, Stutton, IP9 1LX. The event offers a fully marked coastal lap of 4.3 miles.
The lap combines farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath. Chip timing is used and Challenge First Aid cover is provided. The event is licensed by the TRA and is held under UK Athletics rules.
Entry options are Solo, Pairs, Small team (3-4) and Large team (5-6). Entry fees per person are Solo £80, Pairs £75, Small team £70 and Large team £65, with an additional £2 for non attached competitors. Minimum age is 18. Entries open 21 September 2025 and close 21 June 2026; entries listed so far show 33 participants.
Race HQ includes overnight camping and campervanning as part of the entry fee. Camping is for runners only; friends and family may attend to support during the day. Event parking and toilets are available.
Included in entry are a Coastal Trail Runners vest for anyone completing one lap or more, a unique vest for solo runners completing 100+ miles, a bespoke medal for all competitors, solo and team prizes, Pilates and yoga sessions (bring a mat), and chip timing. Optional extras listed are sauna and plunge pool (£15), a bacon roll and coffee on Sunday morning (£5), and massages priced to be confirmed.
