Shotley 24 is a 24-hour trail running and camping event held from Saturday 18 to Sunday 19 July 2026 at Shotley Village Hall, The Street, Shotley, Stutton, IP9 1LX. The event is organised by Coastal Trail Runners and has a minimum age of 18. Entries open on 21 September 2025 and close on 21 June 2026. Entry categories are solo, pairs, small teams (3-4) and large teams (5-6). Entry fees per person are: Solo £80, Pairs £75, Small team £70, Large team £65; there is an additional £2 fee for non attached competitors. The entry list shows 18 participants so far.
Course, facilities and services
The route is a fully marked coastal trail lap of 4.3 miles on the Shotley peninsula in Suffolk. Surfaces on the lap include farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath. Race HQ permits overnight camping and campervanning; camping is reserved for runners only. Included for competitors are event parking, toilets, chip timing, a bespoke medal for all competitors, vests for anyone completing one lap or more and a unique vest for solo runners completing 100+ miles. Solo and team prizes are awarded. Additional provisions include Challenge First Aid cover, Core & More Pilates and Yoga sessions, and the event is licensed by the TRA and held under UK Athletics rules. Optional extras listed are sauna and plunge pool (£15), bacon roll and coffee on Sunday morning (£5) and massages (price to be confirmed). An XCover option is offered for potential refund protection.
