The Maverick Suffolk Gravel
The Maverick Suffolk Gravel takes place on 28 November 2026 at Wantisden Hall near Woodbridge, within the Suffolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The event routes run through largely unspoilt woodland and wildlife areas on mainly flat, sandy forest trails.
Choose from three distances:
- 23 km Half Marathon, +118 m elevation gain
- 16 km Middle route, +69 m elevation gain
- 9 km Short route, +58 m elevation gain
The course is fully marked and fully timed. There are no outposts on the Short route; the Middle and Half each have two outposts (approx 6 km and 11 km for Middle; approx 6 km and 18 km for Half) offering snacks, gels and electrolyte top-ups. Toilets are available at the start and finish only.
Facilities at the venue include free parking, event photography, bag drop, online results and a finishers medal. The organisers aim to keep outposts cup free and ask participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Dog entries have sold out for this event.
Travel notes: the event village is around two hours from central London. The nearest station is Melton, about a 14 minute drive from the venue; typical train travel from London Liverpool Street is about 1 hour 40 minutes.
