Shot in the Dark Fun 5K - Snead, AL
The Shot in the Dark Fun 5K is an evening 5-kilometer running event held at Sharecroppers Coffee and Creamery in Snead, Alabama. The race takes place in late evening or night and is chip timed.
Participants receive a shirt and a glow kit. At the finish, runners who complete the 5K and take a shot of cold brew coffee receive a finishers glass labeled "I took a shot in the dark." Prizes are awarded to top male and female finishers and in age group categories.
Proceeds benefit the Sharecroppers Soles program, which provides shoes to running athletes. Registration opens January 2, 2026 and closes June 7, 2026; the listed registration fee is $40.00.
