Shorewood Shuffle
The Shorewood Shuffle is its second annual edition in Shorewood, Illinois. This community event takes place at Four Seasons Park and focuses on a festive atmosphere where participants are encouraged to wear green. The event features a chip-timed race for those looking for recorded performance data.
The course is located within Four Seasons Park and the surrounding residential neighborhood. The route is characterized as being flat and paved, making it suitable for both runners and walkers. Following the completion of the events, participants can gather for post-race activities including music, food trucks, and snacks.
Available distances include:
- 5K
- Little Leprechaun Dash (for children aged 12 and under)
Registration for the 5K includes a short-sleeve participant t-shirt and a finisher's medal. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from under 21 to 70 and over. The Little Leprechaun Dash is a free event for children, though preregistration is mandatory. The first 50 children to register for the dash receive a finisher's ribbon and a swag bag.
Packet pickup is available a few days prior to the event at Village Hall, with additional pickup opportunities on the morning of the races at the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
