Shoreham Wading River Community Programs 4th of July
The event is held on July 4 at Miller Avenue School, 3 Miller Ave., Shoreham, NY 11786. The program is listed as rain or shine. Multiple race distances are offered.
- 1 Mile (12 & under; 13 & over, combined race)
- 5K Run/Walk
Amenities include live results for the 5K delivered by text and email, free finish line photos, water and fruit, and personalized bibs for those who register three weeks in advance. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in the 5K, the top three boys and girls in the 1 Mile (12 and under), and the top three finishers in the 1 Mile (13 and over).
Bib pickup is available early on July 2 in the school gymnasium and on the day of the event through event staff; a bib number is required for pickup. Last-minute registrants who register within 24 hours can receive a bib number by text within about 90 seconds. Course route details are provided for participants.
