Shoreham Wading River Community Programs 4th of July 2026
This community event takes place on July 4, 2026 at Miller Avenue School in Shoreham, NY, and raises funds for the Senior Scholarship Fund. The program runs rain or shine and offers multiple distance options.

- 1 Mile 12 and under
Registration is handled online and fees vary by event and registration timing; some options include a combined 5K and 1 Mile discount. Fees include a processing charge and are non refundable. Participants must agree to event terms and a waiver attesting to physical fitness.
Timing and participant services are provided as follows: the 5K is electronically timed and live online, text, and email results are available for the 5K only. The 1 Mile distances are hand timed and do not include online results or photos. Personalized bibs are available for registrants who sign up at least three weeks before race day.
Event amenities include free finish line photos, water and fruit, and same day finish line video. Awards are given to top finishers in each category, including top three male and female in the 5K, top three male and female for the 1 Mile 12 and under, and top three finishers in the 1 Mile 13 and over. Early bib pickup is available the day before the event in the Miller Avenue School gymnasium; day of pickup is managed by event staff.
