Shipshewana Mayfest Roadrun
The Shipshewana Mayfest Roadrun takes place in Shipshewana, Indiana, as a component of the town's annual Mayfest celebration. The event utilizes the area around the Wolfe Building at 345 North Morton Street for registration, check-in, and the start of the races. Participants can choose between two distinct distances:
- 5k
- 1 mile fun run
The 1 mile fun run is designated for participants aged 13 and under. This course follows the paved surface of North Street in a straight out and back format, with the finish line located near the starting point. All participants in this distance receive a token for a local food item. Medals are presented to the three fastest boys and girls.
The 5k course follows a route familiar to past participants with slight modifications. Both the 5k and the 1 mile events utilize electronic timing to track results. Awards for the 5k are provided to the top three men and women overall. Furthermore, winners are recognized within specific age groups ranging from 14 and under to those 70 and older.
