Topeka Road Run
The Topeka Road Run takes place in Topeka, Indiana on July 3, 2027 as part of the town's Independence Day celebration, which includes a parade, fireworks, sports tournaments, food vendors, children’s games and a watermelon eating competition. The road run began in 1974 and is the oldest consecutively run race in the state; 2027 marks the 54th annual running.
The event consists of two races and awards for top finishers. The One-Mile Fun Run is for children 13 and under and awards medals to the top three boys and top three girls. The 5K is open to all ages and awards prizes to the top three men and top three women overall, plus top finishers in multiple age divisions. Age divisions include: 1-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65+.
Registration is available in advance and on race day. Standard registration fees listed for advance entry are $20 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 Mile kids race; race day registration fees increase to $25 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 Mile.
