Topeka Road Run, Topeka, Indiana

The Topeka Road Run takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, as part of the town's Independence Day celebration. The event dates back to 1974 and is described as the oldest consecutively held race in the state. This year's edition is set at Topeka East Park, 510 E Lake Street, Topeka, IN 46571.

The road run program includes two distance events and awards for top finishers.

  • 1 Mile Kid's Run (13 & under)

The one-mile event is for children 13 and under, with medals for the top three boys and top three girls. The 5K is open to all ages and follows a course through the streets of Topeka, with prizes for the top three men and women overall and recognition for top finishers in age divisions. Age groups listed for awards include 1-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65+.
