Sherwood Memorial Park Run for Donuts 5k and Fun Run
Sherwood Memorial Park presents the 10th Run for Donuts 5k and Fun Run on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, VA. The event benefits Ronald McDonald House Southwest Virginia, which provides an environment of support and short-term housing for families of seriously ill children so they can stay close to care.

The course uses the park paths within Sherwood Memorial Park. All participants receive a donut at the finish line; eating the donut is optional. A costume contest encourages donut-themed or colorful outfits.
Early registration pricing is listed with an early deadline of September 30, 2026. 5K entrants receive a knit beanie hat and a finisher medal. Fun Run participants receive a knit beanie hat and a finisher button. Bean hats are guaranteed for entries received before September 30; afterward they are subject to availability.
Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age category: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over.
