Sherwood Lake 4th of July Run Around the Lake

This running event takes place on July 4, 2026, at Sherwood Lake in Topeka, Kansas. The primary advertised distance is 10K, with participants also able to run a shorter or longer distance according to their preference. The course circles the lake and is an open course; it is not closed to the public and no roads will be blocked. Participants are expected to follow all traffic laws and run at their own risk.

Registration for the event is free. Registration opens on May 21, 2026, and closes on July 4, 2026. Race bib pickup is available at the Club House (6910 SW Fountaindale Road) on July 3 and also on the morning of the event.

There will be a water stop roughly halfway around the lake. Coffee and light treats will be available from The Blind Barista before and after the event.
