Freedom 5K Fleet Feet Lawrence
The Freedom 5K is a free community running event taking place on July 4, 2026, organized by Fleet Feet Lawrence at Rock Chalk Sports Pavilion in Lawrence, Kansas (100 Rock Chalk Lane, 66049). The event is a 5 kilometer distance and is open to participants of all ages and paces; walkers and runners are welcome. There will be no official timing for finish results.
Organizers will accept donations for Just Food on race morning via cash or Venmo. Bib pickup is available at Fleet Feet Lawrence on July 3 while the store is open, or on the morning of the event. There are no event t shirts or medals.
The planned location is Rock Chalk Sports Pavilion. Depending on circumstances related to the World Cup, the event may be moved to the Arboretum trails; organizers will keep participants informed if the venue changes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
