Sheriff's Meadow Foundation Fourth Annual Trail Run
The Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation Fourth Annual Trail Run takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Caroline Tuthill Preserve in Edgartown, Massachusetts. The event follows a loop of approximately 3.1 miles beginning at the field along Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road.
The course passes through pitch pine forest and open meadow, runs past salt marshes down to Sengekontacket Pond, and returns to the starting field. Terrain begins on a field and includes a short section of paved bike path before entering the preserve, where runners encounter sand and dirt paths and a 160 foot raised boardwalk.
There is no cost to register for the event; voluntary contributions support conservation work to protect Martha’s Vineyard’s landscape and character. Registration opens August 13, 2026 and closes October 13, 2026.
Parking is available at the Edgartown Park-and-Ride near the Edgartown triangle and is free of charge. Participants should cross Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road at the designated crosswalk and continue along the north side of the road to reach the start area.
