Shelter Island 10K & 5K Run/Walk
The event takes place on June 20, 2026 at the Shelter Island Union Free School District, 33 N Ferry Road, Shelter Island, NY. It offers both in-person and virtual participation and includes a free kids fun run at Fiske Field.

The 10K course includes water stops at miles 2, 4, 5, and 6. The 5K course has a water stop at the halfway point. Bib pickup and shirt distribution are organized on site; mailed bibs are sent starting the week before the event for early registrants.
Race amenities include a finisher medal, a tri-blend race shirt, finish line photos, post race beer for participants 21 and older, live music, and a staffed bag drop. A recovery area with cold plunges and a sauna is available post race. Ferry shuttle service will run between both ferries and the race site in the afternoon and evening.
Registration is offered with in-person and virtual pricing options that vary by registration window. The Shelter Island Run is a non-profit; registration proceeds support local charities and additional donations are accepted.
