2026 Shelbyville Triathlon Series
The Shelbyville Triathlon Series is a three-race triathlon series held in Shelbyville, Kentucky, from March 1 to April 19, 2026. Events are located at 717 Burks Branch Rd and use Clear Creek Park facilities for portions of the courses.
The series format includes three separate races. The first event is planned as run, bike, swim and the remaining two are planned in the standard swim, bike, run order; the order may change based on weather. Overall male and female series winners will be awarded at the end of the series. Participants who complete all three races receive a medal. Each race also awards overall male and female finishers and age group awards, including a 14 and under category and five year increments thereafter.
Distances for the three races:
- Race 1: 3K run, 6 mile bike, 400 yd swim
- Race 2: 400 yd swim, 12 mile bike, 5K run
- Race 3: 400 yd swim, 18 mile bike, 5K run
Swims take place in the park indoor pool using a serpentine pattern across lanes, with staggered starts for races two and three. Bike courses consist of looped routes that include several large hills. Run courses are out-and-back within park grounds on firm surfaces. Showers are available at the Family Activity Center.
