Event Overview
The 2026 Shelbyville Triathlon Series consists of three separate triathlon events held between March 1 and April 19 in Shelbyville, Kentucky. The races take place at Clear Creek Park's Family Activity Center.
Race Series Details
The series includes three distinct races with varied distances and order of disciplines. The event order for Race #1 is different from the standard triathlon format.
- Race #1: 3 km run, 6-mile bike, 400-yard swim.
- Race #2: 400-yard swim, 12-mile bike, 5 km run.
- Race #3: 400-yard swim, 18-mile bike, 5 km run.
The overall male and female winners of the entire series will receive a special award. Awards are also presented to the overall male and female finishers in each individual race, as well as by age group.
Course Information
The 400-yard swim for all races takes place in an indoor pool at the park's Family Activity Center, using a serpentine pattern across the pool. The bike courses are described as challenging loops with several large hills. The run courses are out-and-back routes on firm surfaces within the park grounds. Showers are available at the Family Activity Center after the races. The event states it will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
