Sharlie Shuffle : June 6, 2026
The Sharlie Shuffle is a timed loop run held in Ponderosa State Park in McCall, with the course placed beside Payette Lake. The event offers multiple timed formats and an option to participate virtually on a separate registration.
Distances and formats
- 12-hour timed run
- 6-hour timed run
The course is a clockwise 4.79 mile loop that includes rolling and rocky trails, flat sections, stairs, boardwalks, single-track and some double-track, plus a short segment of pavement. Each loop contains about 640 feet of elevation gain. A shorter 2.18 mile loop is available for the last two hours of the event.
Organizers describe the event as low-key and old-school. Bibs are handmade and laps are tracked with stickers. Aid will be provided with reusable mugs and local vendors supply food and prizes. The event aims to minimize waste by avoiding paper products and striving for less than one full bag of trash at the end of the day.
The event functions as a fundraiser for trail maintenance and education; remaining proceeds after fees and event expenses are donated to Ponderosa State Park through a nonprofit. Campgrounds at Ponderosa State Park will be open for the race weekend and campsite reservations are available in advance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
