Share the Harvest 5K Run/Walk
The Share the Harvest 5K Run/Walk is a community fundraising 5K taking place on September 5, 2026 at McAlpine Creek Park, 8711 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC. The event is hosted by Community Leadership Academy and benefits the Community Kitchen Program.
The race is open to adults and youth ages 14 to 18. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female adult finishers and to the top three male and female youth finishers in the 14 to 18 age group. The top youth male and female finishers will receive a gift certificate for running shoes.
Registration details include a $30 entry fee and a registration period that opens March 7, 2026 and closes September 4, 2026. Entry fee scholarships are available for deserving youth; youth ages 14 to 18 may request a scholarship from the organizer. Registered participants will receive a limited-edition 2026 Community Kitchen Program running T-shirt.
The Community Kitchen Program is described as a free culinary training initiative supporting immigrants, refugees, and community members in need; 117 individuals are reported as enrolled.
