Shandon Turkey Trot & Burn 5K
The Shandon Turkey Trot & Burn 5K is a community 5K run/walk held in the Shandon neighborhood of Columbia, SC on Friday, November 27, 2026. The event is managed by GRIT Endurance, LLC and benefits the Shandon Neighborhood Council, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Race details and policies
The event features a 5K USATF certified course described as flat and passing through tree-lined streets of Shandon. Runners and walkers are welcome; strollers and leashed dogs are permitted. The event is rain or shine. No refunds or deferrals are allowed, and participants who are not present with their bib at the official start will not be allowed to start late.
Packet pick up is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25 from Noon to 6:00pm at Craft and Draft, 2706 Devine Street, where on-site registration is also available. Race day registration and packet pick up open at 8:00am at the start line on Woodrow Street near Shandon Presbyterian Church. The registration price shown is $30, with a shirt guarantee for participants registered by November 3; shirts must be picked up at packet pick up or on race day and will not be mailed.
Awards are given for overall and masters top three male and female, age-group places, top three largest teams, top three best-dressed dogs, and the top ten best-dressed participants.
