About the race
The Sleigh Bell Trot is a nighttime four mile event held on November 22, 2026, amid the Holiday Lights on the River at Saluda Shoals Park East in Columbia, SC. The course takes place within the park and parking is located at the Saluda Shoals Park East entrance at 6071 St. Andrews Rd, between Wendy’s and Aldi. Registration fees are $40 per person for registrations from September 1 until November 21, and $45 per person on November 22.
Military discounts are available. The event is held rain or shine and registration is non refundable. Packet pick up is available at the Saluda Shoals Park Tennis Center on Friday, November 20 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, or on the night of the event. Check in on the evening of the event is scheduled from 5:00 pm to 6:50 pm. Race registrants receive a finisher’s medal and a t shirt, and water stations are provided along the course.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age divisions, from 8 and under through 70 and over. For safety reasons, dogs are not permitted at the Sleigh Bell Trot. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
