Shamrock the 'Ville 5K
Shamrock the 'Ville is a St. Patrick's Day celebration held in downtown Bartlesville. The event features running and walking options, a pre-race packet pickup and party at CC-MMO (1845 West 4th St), and proceeds that benefit Mary Martha Outreach, a non-profit that provides necessary items to those in need.
The event program includes:
- 5K (age 9 and up), chip-timed
- 5K (age 8 and under), free, no shirt
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (age 9 and up), untimed
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (age 8 and under), free, no shirt
- Cheering From The Couch with shirt options, including a kids option
Awards are given to the top three finishers by age and gender, including youth categories, overall male and female, and best costume. The 5K course is USATF certified and runs through historic downtown Bartlesville.
Shirt sizes are offered for kids and adults while supplies last, with the first 500 entries guaranteed a shirt. Safety notes state that walkers with children in strollers should keep to the left side of the course, and that skateboards, roller blades and pets are not allowed. In extreme weather the event may be canceled and entry fees used as donations rather than refunded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
