Event Information
The Shamrock Shuffle 2026 is a community walk and run event in support of The INN St. Thomas Elgin, a low-barrier homeless shelter. This is the 13th annual edition. In the previous year, the event had 158 participants and 15 sponsors, raising over $29,000.
Distances and Registration
The event offers three untimed activities:
- A 5 km run
- A 5 km walk
- A 2 km family walk
The standard registration fee is $30. Online registration is available until March 25, 2026, with in-person registration available on the kit pick-up night (March 27) and on the event day until 8:45 a.m. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Event Details
The event is held on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The location is St. Thomas-Elgin, with activities based at Central United Church at 135 Wellington Street. The route uses sidewalks and is not closed to traffic. Dogs on leashes are permitted on the route but not inside the church building. The event proceeds regardless of weather.
Features and Awards
Participants receive free cinch bags (while supplies last) and post-race refreshments. Trophies are awarded in several categories, including Top Fundraising Team, Top Fundraising Individual, Oldest and Youngest Participant, and Best Dressed Individual and Team.
