Shamrock Shuffle 2026
The Shamrock Shuffle takes place on March 28, 2026 in St. Thomas, Ontario (135 Wellington Street). The event is a charity walk/run raising funds for The INN St. Thomas Elgin, described as the only low-barrier 24/7 homeless shelter in the area.
Distances offered:
- 5 km run
- 5 km walk
- 2 km family walk (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult)
The event is strictly fun-only and will not be timed. The route is described as scenic through the town. Paid online registrants may receive a cinch bag while quantities last; free post-event refreshments are provided. Trophies are awarded for top fundraising team and individual, oldest and youngest participants, and best dressed individual and team. A 50/50 draw is part of the fundraising activities and entry fees contribute directly to the fundraising total.
The course will not be closed to traffic; participants are asked to stay on sidewalks and obey traffic rules. Marshals will assist at intersections. Kit pick up is scheduled the evening before at Central United Church. Tax receipts for donations of $20 or more are issued by Inn Out of the Cold when a mailing address is provided.
