Event Overview
The Shamrock Shuffle 5K and Leprechaun Leap 2K takes place on March 21, 2026 in downtown Mount Holly, North Carolina. It is a community-wide event organized to benefit the Mount Holly Middle School PTO and the Rankin Elementary PTA.

Course Details
Both courses are run on public roadways and sidewalks. Police will restrict traffic and, along with volunteers, will be stationed at intersections for assistance. The description notes the 5K course "does include some good hills." Strollers are permitted on the course.
Event Day Logistics
The listed address for the event is 301 W. Central Ave. Participants are instructed to park at Mount Holly Middle School (124 S. Hawthorne St.) and walk a short distance to the event site. Packet pickup is available on Friday, March 20, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Rankin Elementary. On the day of the event, packet pickup for the 2K is from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, and for the 5K from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM.
Registration & Amenities
Standard registration fees apply, with discounted rates for participants aged 18 and under and 70 and over. Registration prices increase by $5.00 on race day. A commemorative cream-colored race shirt is offered to participants who register by March 5, 2026.
Awards
The timed Shamrock Shuffle 5K offers awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in multiple age categories for both male and female participants. The Leprechaun Leap 2K is an untimed event and does not have awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
