Course and Participation
The outdoor route is guided by volunteers and remains open to public traffic. Participants are encouraged to be aware of their surroundings. Water is provided at the halfway point, and portions of the course are salted or cleared if necessary. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages, including families with strollers and dogs on leashes.
A virtual participation option is available for those who prefer an indoor environment. Participants in the virtual category can use the treadmills or track at the Marshall Area YMCA. Non-members who sign up for the virtual event receive a day pass for the facility valid on the day of the race.
Logistics and Amenities
The organizers provide a shuttle service for participants. Runners can park at Brau Brothers Brewery, where a van transports them to the YMCA for the start. The YMCA facilities, including the gymnasium, lobby, bathrooms, and locker rooms, are available for participants to warm up and prepare.
Each participant who completes the race receives a drink ticket valid for one beverage at the brewery on the day of the event. Registration completed by February 22 includes a beanie hat. All proceeds from the event support the programs and services of the Marshall Area YMCA, a 501(c)(3) charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
