About the race
Run For a Claus is a festive, family-friendly one-mile run and walk around Independence Park in Marshall. The course passes through the Light Up the Night displays and is intended as a community holiday event. Hot chocolate will be provided at the end of the race for participants to enjoy around the warmth of a fire.
Registration opens 9/18/2026 and closes 12/4/2026. The registration fee is $15.00. Participants who register by 11/19 will receive a festive holiday gift bag. The event is presented by First Independent Bank and race proceeds will be donated to Prairie Home Hospice and Community Care and Marshall Area YMCA Programs and Services. The park is entered from E.
