Shamrock Shuffle in Lewes, Delaware
The event is organized by the Seashore Striders on the Gordon's Pond Trail of Cape Henlopen State Park. The start and finish area is at the Main Beach bathhouse north end. Participants can choose among multiple event distances.

The half marathon is chip timed with Chronotrack. The course is described as flat and fast, routed from Main Beach to Lewes to Gordons Pond and back in a T shaped layout. Water stops and portable restrooms are placed at the start and at several points on the course, including the Marathon Road tower intersection and Herring Point.
Walkers are asked to enter the 5k because there is no half marathon walk division. Half marathon participants must maintain a 15 minute per mile pace throughout the course; organizers list mile splits to illustrate this requirement. Failure to maintain the required pace may affect acceptance in the following year.
The new two person relay divides the half marathon into roughly 6.0 miles for runner one and 7.11 miles for runner two. Exchanges occur near Herring Point; teams receive relay bibs, a bib with chip, two shirts, and a race map. Transportation to the exchange point is each team member's responsibility.
