Event overview
The 20th Shamrock Shuffle is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Lewes, Delaware at Main Beach, Cape Henlopen State Park. The event includes these distances:
- 13.11 miles (half marathon)
- 3.1 miles (5k)
- 2-person relay (one leg ~6.0 miles, second leg ~7.11 miles)
The Seashore Striders produce the event. Registration fees increase after February 28, 2026. Early-bird fees listed are $60 for the half marathon, $30 for the 5k, and $40 for the relay. Mail-in registration is accepted by form and check.
Course and race details
The course is described as flat and fast on the Gordon's Pond Trail and nearby park trails, routed from Main Beach to Lewes to Gordons Pond and back. The event will use ChronoTrack chip timing. Water stations and portable restrooms are located at multiple mile points on both the 5k and half-marathon/relay courses. Packet pickup is available on race morning at the Main Beach Bathhouse parking lot.
Walkers must use the 5k; there is no half-marathon walk division. Half-marathon participants must maintain a 15:00 minute-per-mile pace to remain on course and for eligibility in future entries. Awards are given to overall male and female champions, masters (40+), and age-group top three finishers; relay awards are given to top Male, Female, and Co-Ed teams.
