About the race
ShamRock & Roll 5K is a 5-kilometer road race held in New Haven, Connecticut. The flat course starts and finishes in front of Toad’s Place, the historic rock venue on York Street, and is limited to 1,500 runners. The event blends running with St.
Patrick’s Day festivities, capped by post-race celebrations featuring an awards ceremony, a costume contest, live music, and food and beverages (21+ for beer). Proceeds benefit The Diaper Bank of Connecticut, with diaper donations collected at packet pickup and on race day.
