Shallowater Stampede
The Shallowater Stampede is an annual running event held in Shallowater, Texas. The 38th edition is scheduled for September 12, 2026 at Shallowater High School on FM1294. The event features two distance options:
- 2M Run/Walk
- 10K Run
Entry fees are specified by category: $8 for West Texas Running Club members and non-member children ages 7 to 12, and $20 for non members for either distance. There is no race day registration and entries are nonrefundable. Registration opens on August 8.
Age requirements are set for each distance: participants must be at least 7 years old for the 2M run/walk and at least 13 years old for the 10K. Strollers are permitted only for participants aged 18 and older. The event does not include a race T-shirt as part of the entry, though shirts are available for purchase from Shallowater PA.
Results and race media from previous years are maintained, and the event records include age group and overall course performances for both distances.
