The Llano Estacado Wine Run 5k takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Llano Estacado Winery, 3426 F M 1585, Lubbock, TX 79404. The event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk and offers a virtual participation option with packet shipping available.
Course and logistics
The course starts and finishes at the winery. It is mostly cross country on grass, includes many turns through the vineyards, and is described as flat and suitable for runners and walkers. An interactive course map is provided by the organizer. Packet pickup is available at the winery on the Friday before the race and on the morning of race day.
Registration, swag and awards
Registration includes a ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. Minors may participate with a discounted registration but they do not receive the wine glass or wine pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Age group awards are offered by ten-year categories, with the top three M/F in each category receiving awards. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online.
