Shake Your Trail Feathers
Shake Your Trail Feathers is a trail running and walking event held at Laurel Hill County Park in Mount Pleasant, SC on November 7, 2026. The route passes through wooded paths and rolling dirt trails, with sections that vary from hard-packed surfaces with roots to grass and occasional uneven terrain. The finish area includes music and fall-themed treats.
Distances offered:
- Kids Dash: short race for young runners
- 5K: trail distance over wooded and dirt trails
- 10K: longer loop through the park landscape
Race day packet pick-up is available on site. Registration closes Wednesday, November 4; shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after 10/16/26. Participants ages 10 to 15 may register only when accompanied by a registered adult chaperone. The event promotes cup-less practices and asks attendees to bring their own water bottles. Pets are not allowed on the course and strollers are not recommended.
Accessibility notes: no accessible parking is available; an accessible porta-let will be provided at the event site. All trails are natural, unimproved surfaces and the course is a loop with water stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
