Shake Your Trail Feathers
Shake Your Trail Feathers is a trail running and walking event at Laurel Hill County Park in Mount Pleasant, SC (1400 SC-41, 29466). The event offers multiple distances and a kids race, with courses that loop through wooded areas and rolling dirt trails.
Distances:
- Kids Dash : a short race for young runners.
- 5K : a shorter trail loop on natural surfaces.
- 10K : a longer trail loop through the park's landscape.
The course surface varies from hard-packed trails with roots to grass and includes occasional areas of uneven terrain. The event uses a loop course layout and provides water stations. Pets are not allowed on the course and strollers are not recommended. Participants ages 10 to 15 may register only when accompanied by a registered adult chaperone.
Event operations notes include on-site race day packet pick-up, an effort to move toward cup-less events so participants are asked to bring their own water bottle, and a notice that shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after 10/16/26. Registration closes Wednesday, November 4. Accessibility information: no accessible parking is available, an accessible porta-let will be on site, and all trails are natural, unimproved surfaces.
