Sewanee Slammer : October 17, 2026
The Sewanee Slammer is a 20 Miler held in Sewanee, TN, organized by Nashville Running Company. The course is a 20-mile loop of the Perimeter Trail around the University of the South atop the bluffs of the Cumberland Plateau, passing overlooks, geologic features, lakes and ponds, and upland deciduous forest.
The event starts and finishes at the Mountain Goat Visitor Center in Sewanee Village. Parking is available at the Visitor Center and on nearby grassy areas. There are three aid stations on course at miles 5.3, 10.5, and 14.06. Ten percent of race proceeds are allocated to the Perimeter Trail Fund.
Packet pickup is offered the day before at Shenanigans - Sewanee and on race day at the start/finish area. Race shirts are a cotton blend unisex T and are guaranteed for entrants who register by September 27. Registration pricing listed for the event is $85 through September 30 and $95 after that, both amounts noted without taxes and fees; registration closes on October 15.
Event partners include HOKA, Feetures, and Huma, and swag will be awarded to winners. A post-race gathering will be held at Shenanigans - Sewanee with food and beverages, and part of the Bama versus UT game will be shown. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
