Sewanee Slammer - Sewanee, TN
The Sewanee Slammer is a 20 mile trail race on October 17, 2026, organized by Nashville Running Company in Sewanee, Tennessee. The course follows a 20 mile loop of the Perimeter Trail around the University of the South atop the bluffs of the Cumberland Plateau.
Runners pass overlooks, geologic features, lakes and ponds, and upland deciduous forest. The start and finish are at the Mountain Goat Visitor Center in Sewanee Village. Parking is available at the Visitor Center and on adjacent grassy areas. There are three aid stations located at miles 5.3, 10.5, and 14.06.
Ten percent of race proceeds are directed to the Perimeter Trail Fund. A postrace gathering will be held at Shenanigans - Sewanee with food and brews and part of the Bama versus UT game shown. The event lists partners including HOKA, Feetures, and Huma, and swag will be awarded to winners.
Packet pickup is scheduled early on Friday, October 16 at Shenanigans from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM CST, and on race day at the start finish area from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM CST. Registration closes on Thursday, October 15 at 11:59 PM CT. Race shirts are guaranteed for entrants who register by September 27 and are offered in unisex sizes as a cotton blend tee.
