Sewanee Slammer - October 17, 2026
Sewanee Slammer is a 20 mile trail race organized by Nashville Running Company in Sewanee, Tennessee. The course is a single loop of the Perimeter Trail around the University of the South that runs atop the bluffs of the Cumberland Plateau. Runners pass overlooks, geologic features, lakes and ponds, and upland deciduous forest.
The event starts and finishes at the Mountain Goat Visitor Center in Sewanee Village. Parking is available at the Visitor Center and on nearby grassy areas. There are three aid stations located at miles 5.3, 10.5, and 14.06. Ten percent of race proceeds will be donated to the Perimeter Trail Fund.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Shenanigans Sewanee and at the start area on race day. Race shirts are guaranteed for entrants who register by September 27 and are unisex cotton blend tees. Entry fees listed for the event include tiered pricing before and after September 30; fees do not include taxes and processing charges. Registration closes on October 15.
The event lists vendor partners including HOKA, Feetures, and Huma, and swag will be awarded to winners. During registration there is an option to donate to Move!
