Rim Runner Trail Races
Rim Runner Trail Races are held in Sewanee, Tennessee, on trails in Franklin State Forest that follow the West Rim and West Side. The course features a large loop that runs along the rim and offers views into the coves on either side. The trail system is located a few miles from the Perimeter Trail and uses terrain on the rim of a cove.
The event offers multiple race distances:
- 100 Miler: 11,400 ft of climbing
- 50 Miler: 5,700 ft of climbing
- 50K: 3,200 ft of climbing
- Half Marathon: 1,600 ft of climbing
Location details list the venue as 7833 Jumpoff Rd, Sewanee, TN. Approximate road travel times to the event are provided from nearby cities, for example about 50 minutes west of Chattanooga and about 1.5 hours southeast of Nashville.
The organizer provides a refund and deferral policy by time before the event: full refund or deferral more than four weeks out; from two to four weeks a 50 percent refund or 100 percent race credit or deferral; within one week a 50 percent race credit. Finisher awards include a three layer welded steel buckle, sawed hand branded whiskey barrel staves for the Half Marathon, 50K and 50 Miler, and one X awarded for each loop completed.
