Rim Runner Trail Races
Rim Runner Trail Races are scheduled for April 11-12, 2026 in Sewanee, Tennessee, at 7833 Jumpoff Rd. The event features trail running on paths in Franklin State Forest and offers the following distances:
- 100 Miler - 11,400 ft of climbing
- 50 Miler - 5,700 ft of climbing
- 50K - 3,200 ft of climbing
- Half Marathon - 1,600 ft of climbing
Course
The races use the West Rim and West Side trails in Franklin State Forest. The course is a large loop that runs along the rim and overlooks coves on either side. The local trail system is a few miles from the Perimeter Trail.
Logistics and awards
Registration closes on April 8, 2026. Refund and deferral rules are: 100% refund or deferral four or more weeks from the event; 50% refund or 100% race credit/deferral two to four weeks from the event (refund is the default for U.S. cancellations); 50% race credit within one week of the event. Awards include a welded steel buckle made from three layers and sawed, hand-branded whiskey barrel staves for Half Marathon, 50K, and 50 Miler finishers.
