Rim Runner Trail Races : April 11-12, 2026
Rim Runner Trail Races take place in Sewanee, TN, at 7833 Jumpoff Rd. The event uses Franklin State Forest's West Rim and West Side trails, a large loop that runs along the rim and overlooks coves on either side. The race name refers to running along the rim and to Tennessee’s history of rum running during prohibition. The course system is a few miles from the Perimeter Trail.

Climbing by distance is published as: Half Marathon 1,600 ft, 50K 3,200 ft, 50 Miler 5,700 ft, 100 Miler 11,400 ft. Travel estimates from nearby cities are listed in relation to the venue (for example, about 50 minutes from Chattanooga; about 1.5 hours from Nashville and Huntsville).
Registration closes Wed, Apr 8. Refund and deferral policy: 100% refund or deferral 4+ weeks before the event; 2-4 weeks 50% refund or 100% race credit/deferral (refund is default for U.S. cancellations); 1 week before the event 50% race credit. Awards include a three-layer welded steel buckle and sawed, hand-branded whiskey barrel staves for the Half Marathon, 50K and 50 Miler. Participants receive one X for each completed loop.
