Mountain Goat Trail Race - Sewanee, TN
The Mountain Goat Trail Race is held on the Mountain Goat Trail, a paved rail-trail project. The event takes place on asphalt rather than on natural singletrack, so it is not a trail race. The general area for the event is Sewanee and Monteagle, Tennessee.
Distances offered include:
- Half marathon
- 5-mile run
- 2-mile walk
The half marathon begins at Mountain Outfitters in Monteagle, runs on the Mountain Goat Trail to Sewanee, and returns to finish at Mountain Outfitters. The five-mile run begins in downtown Sewanee and finishes at Mountain Outfitters. The two-mile walk begins at Bella Pearl's Restaurant in Sewanee and also finishes at Mountain Outfitters.
Registration closes on Fri, Apr 3 at 11:59 PM ET. The first 250 entrants receive a race T-shirt and additional items. Packet pickup is scheduled on Friday, April 4 at Tower Community Bank in Monteagle during the listed pickup window.
