Sevier Valley Marathon
The Sevier Valley Marathon is a road race held in Central Utah, beginning at the Big Rock Candy Mountain and concluding in Richfield. The course is USATF certified, making it eligible as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The route is a net downhill course with a starting elevation of 5803 feet and an ending elevation of 5327 feet. Participants experience a total elevation loss of 1232 feet and a total elevation gain of 754 feet.
The race route begins at the Candy Mountain Express Trailhead on Historic Utah Highway 89. For the first 6.5 miles, the path follows the Sevier River through Marysvale canyon along an old railroad route. The course continues on the Candy Mountain Express bike path, passing through the towns of Joseph and Elsinore. Runners finish at the south end of Richfield, adjacent to the Cove View Golf Course.

The marathon has a course cutoff of approximately six hours. To continue to the finish, runners must maintain a six hour pace and reach the road crossing in Elsinore by a specific time. There are nine aid stations positioned along the route, and restrooms are available at these locations. Transportation to the start line is provided for the first 90 entrants, though the start area remains accessible via Highway 89.
