Event Overview
The Run for the Vets is an annual athletic event held in Richfield, Utah, designed to commemorate and honor military veterans. The event starts and finishes at the Sevier Valley Center and offers multiple course options to accommodate a variety of movement preferences. Participants gather to run or walk through the local landscape in a communal show of support for those who have served.
Course Details
The event features three distinct distances:
- 10K Trail Run: A route featuring a mix of uphill rocky trails, gravel roads, and paved surfaces.
- 5K Fun Run/Walk: An out-and-back route on a local bike and walking path through the cemetery war memorial.
- 1 Mile Kids Run: A short, level out-and-back course for younger participants.
Participant Information
Registration includes a bib and a wristband for all participants. The first 90 individuals to sign up are guaranteed a unisex t-shirt. All finishers receive a medal upon completion of their respective distances. The event provides post-race refreshments at the finish line, including hot chocolate, doughnuts, water, and fruit.

The race headquarters is located at the Sevier Valley Center at 800 West 200 South in Richfield. The 5K course specifically utilizes the local paved infrastructure and loops around the war memorial as a central point of the route.
