Seven Sisters Half Marathon
The Seven Sisters Half Marathon is a single loop trail race through the South Downs National Park. The course starts and finishes at Helen Garden in Eastbourne and follows the South Downs Way, passes through Friston Forest and woodland trails, runs past the Seven Sisters and goes over Beachy Head before returning to the start.
The distance is 13.5 miles with approximately 2,000 feet of ascent and descent. The route is almost entirely on trail with a small amount of tarmac; the organiser describes the terrain as very runnable and not technical. There are a mix of grass trails, farm tracks and forest paths, with some hilly sections and some flatter parts.
Entries are first come, first served with no qualification required. Places close one week before the race or when entry limits are reached. The listed entry fee is £44.00 and instalment payments are available. Permits are granted through ARC and the permit number is pending.
Refund and transfer rules are specified: a 50% refund is available up until 2 March 2026, after which refunds are not given except for pregnancy when a full refund is available if requested before the event. Deferral and transfer options can be made up to two weeks before the race and deferrals are limited to one per entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
