Seven Sisters Half Marathon
The Seven Sisters Half Marathon is a single loop trail race through the South Downs National Park. The route starts and finishes at Helen Garden in Eastbourne BN20 7XL and follows sections of the South Downs Way, passing Friston Forest, woodland trails, the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head.
The distance is 13.5 miles with approximately 2,000 ft of ascent and descent. The course surface is mostly trail with a small amount of tarmac, and the organiser describes the terrain as very runnable and not technical. The route is fully signed and way marked. There are some hilly sections and some flatter parts.
Entry is on a first come, first served basis with no qualification required and no waitlist. Entries close one week before the race or when entry limits are reached. Minimum age is 18 years. Permit approval is through ARC with the permit number pending.
The event package includes live chip timing, a bespoke finisher medal, bespoke winner trophies, prizes for vet categories, one fully stocked aid station, downloadable race photos, event insurance, and first aid and medical cover. Logistics listed include a free shuttle bus from the finish to local hotels and Eastbourne Train Station. Refund, deferral and transfer terms are stated, including a 50% refund option up to 2 March 2026 and specific deferral and transfer windows and fees.
