Seven Sisters Half Marathon
The Seven Sisters Half Marathon is a trail half marathon that follows routes across the South Downs National Park, starting and finishing at Helen Garden in Eastbourne. The course follows the South Downs Way, passes through Friston Forest and woodland trails, runs toward the Seven Sisters and crosses Beachy Head before returning to the start.
The distance is 13.5 miles with approximately 2,000 feet of ascent and descent. Terrain is almost entirely trail with a small amount of tarmac; the route is mostly runnable and not technical, with some hilly and some flat sections. The event includes live chip timing, one fully stocked aid station, downloadable race photos, a bespoke finisher medal, winner trophies and prizes for vet categories. First aid, medical cover and event insurance are provided.
Entries are offered on a first come, first served basis with no qualification requirement and no waitlist. Entries close one week before the race or when limits are reached. Refunds and deferrals are available under specific conditions and timeframes noted by the organiser. Permits are granted through ARC and the permit number is pending. Minimum age to enter is 18 years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
