Event Overview
The Seven Sisters Half Marathon is a single loop trail race that takes place in the South Downs National Park. The course starts and finishes at Helen Garden in Eastbourne. Participants follow a route that primarily utilizes the South Downs Way, leading through Friston Forest and towards the coast. The event covers notable landmarks including the Seven Sisters cliffs and Beachy Head.
Course Details
The race covers a distance of 13.5 miles. The terrain is 99% trail and 1% tarmac, featuring a mix of grass trails, farm tracks, and forest paths. The route includes a total of 2,000 feet of ascent and descent, with a combination of hilly sections and flat stretches. The terrain is described as runnable and non-technical.
Participation and Logistics
Registration is open to runners aged 18 and older. There is no qualification requirement to participate, and entries are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants receive the following:

- Medical cover and first aid
- A shuttle bus from the finish to local hotels and the Eastbourne Train Station
