Event overview
The Seven Sisters Half Marathon is a single-loop trail race held in the South Downs National Park. The course starts and finishes at Helen Gardens, Eastbourne, BN20 7XL. Runners follow the South Downs Way, pass through Friston Forest and woodland trails, run toward the Seven Sisters and cross Beachy Head before returning to the start. The distance is 13.5 miles and the course includes about 1900 feet of elevation. Terrain is mainly trail with a small amount of tarmac; the listing gives the breakdown as 99% trail and 1% tarmac.
Entry, logistics and rules
Entries are first come, first served with no qualifier required. Entry fee is £42, which includes a mandatory GPS tracker. Entries close one week before the race or when limits are reached. The event has an ARC permit (permit number pending). Minimum age to enter is 20 years. The organiser offers a 50% refund up until 2 March 2026; after that time refunds are not given except in cases of pregnancy. Deferral and transfer options to future events are available under specified conditions. The event provides course way-marking, live chip timing, first aid and medical cover, a finisher medal, and a shuttle bus from the finish to local hotels and Eastbourne Train Station.
