Seven Sisters Half Marathon
The Seven Sisters Half Marathon is a single loop trail race through the South Downs National Park that starts and finishes at Helen Garden, Eastbourne BN20 7XL. The course covers 13.5 miles and includes approximately 2,000 feet of ascent and descent. Terrain is predominantly trail with a small amount of tarmac, and the route follows the South Downs Way via Friston Forest, woodland trails, the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head.
Minimum age for entry is 20 years. Entries are on a first come, first served basis with no qualification required. Entry will close one week before the race or once capacity is reached, and there is no waitlist. Permit approval is managed through ARC and the permit number is pending.
Refund and transfer policies are time limited. A 50 percent refund is available up to March 2nd 2026; after that date refunds are not given except in the case of pregnancy, which can qualify for a full refund. Places may be deferred to 2027 or transferred to another runner, subject to deadlines and a possible fee if made within six weeks of race day. Deferrals can be made only once and specific provisions apply for pregnancy related deferrals.
Race services include a fully signed route, a bespoke finisher medal, winner trophies, downloadable race photos, live chip timing, prizes in veteran categories, event insurance, medical cover and a free shuttle bus from the finish to local hotels and Eastbourne Train Station.
