Seven Sisters Half Marathon
The Seven Sisters Half Marathon is a single loop trail race through the South Downs National Park. The course starts and finishes at Helen Garden in Eastbourne (BN20 7XL) and follows the South Downs Way past Friston Forest, woodland trails, the Seven Sisters and over Beachy Head before returning to Eastbourne. The distance is 13.5 miles with about 2,000 ft of ascent and descent. Terrain is mainly trail with a small amount of tarmac; the route is described as runnable with some hilly sections and flatter stretches.
Entries are sold on a first come, first served basis with no waitlist and no qualifying requirement. Entries close one week before the race or once limits are reached. The permit is granted through ARC and the permit number is pending. Minimum age to enter is 18 years old.
The event package includes a fully signed and way marked route, a UK Ultra finisher medal, male and female winner trophies, downloadable race photos, one fully stocked aid station, live chip timing, prizes for vet category winners, event insurance, first aid and medical cover, and a free shuttle bus from the finish to local hotels and Eastbourne Train Station. Refunds of 50% are available up to March 2nd 2026; after that date refunds are not given except in cases of pregnancy. Deferral and transfer options are available with specified time limits and fees, and some special provisions exist for pregnancy-related deferrals.
