Event Overview
The Seven Sisters Half Marathon is a trail running event that takes place through the South Downs National Park. It is a point-to-point, single-loop course starting and finishing at Helen Garden in Eastbourne. Runners follow the South Downs Way, passing through Friston Forest and woodland trails towards the Seven Sisters and over Beachy Head. The route is noted for its views.
Course Details
The race covers a distance of 13.5 miles with an elevation gain and loss of approximately 2,000 feet. The terrain is described as 99% trail and 1% tarmac, consisting of grass trails, farm tracks, and forest paths.
Race Information
The event requires participants to be at least 18 years old. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis with no qualification needed. The event includes a finisher's medal, trophies for winners, downloadable race photos, live chip timing, prizes for veteran category winners, event insurance, medical cover, and a free shuttle bus from the finish line to local hotels and Eastbourne Train Station.
Policies
A refund and deferral policy is in place. Up until March 2nd 2026, a 50% refund is available, with no refunds after that date except in cases of pregnancy, where a full refund is offered.
