The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Settle with support from the local community and raises money for charities such as Fell Rescue, Victoria Hall in Settle and a health education project in Nepal. The venue is Victoria Hall, Kirkgate, Settle, BD24 9DZ.

Routes and entry

There are three routes, all of which can be run or walked:

  • 37 km / 23 miles
  • 21 km / Half marathon
  • 10 km / 6.2 miles

Entry fees listed are £28 for the 23 mile and half marathon, and £20 for the 10k. Children aged 5 to 11 whose parents have entered the 10k may enter free of charge. The 23 mile route is restricted to age 13 and over. Juniors aged 15 or younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult; 16-17 year olds unaccompanied must provide parental or guardian consent.

Course, timing and facilities

Routes are marked with tape and SPORTident timing will be used. A comprehensive route description, maps and GPS files are provided to entrants. Staggered starts are likely, with longer courses starting before shorter ones and earlier slots on longer routes reserved for walkers. The event centre has a garden cafe serving snacks and drinks all day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
