About the race
Set Free Movement Freedom Run/Walk 2026 takes place on September 26, 2026 at Compass Point Church in Turlock, California. The organizer, Set Free Movement, runs the 11th annual event to raise awareness about human trafficking and to raise funds for Set Free Movement and the local Fostering Hope ministry, which supports people in foster care and those who work with them.
The event is a fun run and walk featuring a 5K distance and is open to a wide range of ages and fitness levels. The course is flat and follows roads through neighborhoods and a trail next to a canal, using E Tuolumne, Daubenberger, Canal, and Johnson Road. The run takes place as part of a Freedom Festival that includes pop-up booths, food, a raffle, a kids area, and additional vendors. All registered participants receive a drawstring bag, a t-shirt, and other items while supplies last; shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by September 1. Awards are given to the overall fastest male and female and to top finishers by age category. Parking is available in the church lot and on nearby streets. After the event, free water and healthy snacks are provided near the finish line, and additional food and drinks are available for purchase.
