Seek the Peak 2026 : The Race from Sea to Summit

Seek the Peak 2026 takes place at Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver, British Columbia, on June 13, 2026. The course runs from Ambleside Park to Mountaintop Plaza on Grouse Mountain and measures 16 km with 1400 m of elevation gain.

The route is described in four legs: Ambleside Beach to the Capilano Pacific Trail; a re-routed section via the Palisades Trail and Nancy Greene Way to the base of Grouse Mountain; the Grouse Grind following 2,830 steps to the mountain plateau; and about 1 km across the plateau before the final ascent along the area known as Heaven’s Sake and the run back down to the finish.

Entry options include solo participants and relay teams of 2 to 4 people. The course time limit is 4 hours 30 minutes. A portion of registration fees is donated to the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation to support regional park conservation, research, enhancements, and education.

Registered entries include a Grouse Mountain Skyride download ticket valid on event day, shuttle service between Grouse Mountain and Ambleside Park, a commemorative race bib, aid stations with hydration and snacks, a finisher medal, and a finish line celebration with a recovery zone and giveaways. Spectator tickets are available for the event date with proceeds donated to the same foundation. Registration fees and purchases related to the event are non refundable; optional enhanced refund protection is available through the registration platform.

A 10 week training clinic is offered as an add on, providing a structured plan and weekly Thursday group sessions led by the event trainer and volunteer pacers. The event has removed disposable cups at aid stations and asks participants to carry a refillable hydration vessel. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
