20th Annual Memorial 5K Run
This memorial 5K is organized by the Atlantic City Fire Fighters Local 8 and takes place on August 29, 2026 on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The race starts and finishes in front of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at Pennsylvania Avenue.
The course is an out and back along the boardwalk, running south toward Ventnor with a turnaround at Montpelier Avenue. The event offers a 5K distance.
Registration fees are listed as $40 for pre-registration and $50 on race day. Registration opens February 2, 2026 and closes August 28, 2026. Race day registration will be handled under a tent on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
Event shirts are provided to the first 100 pre-registered entrants with sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL. A complimentary post-race celebration includes food, discounted drinks, and music from a live DJ. The posted post-race menu may include fruit cocktail, breakfast English muffins, fried white corn tortillas with fire roasted salsa, and crispy chicken wings with dipping sauces, subject to availability.
Spine One Chiropractic will be onsite to provide athlete stretching and giveaways. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will offer a $5.00 self-parking coupon valid only on the event date; the coupon will be available two weeks before the event.
Awards are given at The Terrace at Hard Rock. Top three overall male and female finishers receive awards, followed by first place male and female medals in these age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
