20th Annual Memorial 5K Run
The Atlantic City Fire Fighters Local 8 hosts the 20th Annual Memorial 5K Run on August 29, 2026 on the Atlantic City boardwalk. The course starts and finishes in front of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at Pennsylvania Avenue and follows an out-and-back route south toward Ventnor, with a turnaround at Montpelier Avenue.
Pre-registration opens February 2, 2026 and closes August 28, 2026. The pre-registration fee is $40.00; the race day fee is $50.00. Race day registration will be handled under a tent on the Atlantic City boardwalk.
Event t-shirts are available to the first 100 pre-registered entrants, with sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL. Registered participants are offered complimentary food and discounted drinks. The food selection includes fruit, English muffins with egg and ham, fire roasted salsa with fried white corn tortillas, and crispy chicken wings with dipping sauces. A DJ will provide music after the event.
Spine One Chiropractic will provide athlete stretching and giveaways. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will offer a $5.00 self-parking coupon for the self-park garage valid only on August 29, 2026; the coupon becomes available two weeks before the event.
An awards ceremony will be held at The Terrace at Hard Rock after the race. Awards include top three overall male and female placings and first place male and female medals in age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus.
