Event Overview
The Atlantic City Fire Fighters Local 198 hosts the 20th Annual Seedorf/McMeekin Memorial 5k Run. The event is a memorial run honoring a firefighter and a police officer.
Course Details
The event offers a single 5k race. The course is an out-and-back route on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. It starts and finishes in front of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Pennsylvania Avenue. Runners head south towards Ventnor, with the turnaround point at Montpelier Avenue.
Fees & Registration
The registration fee is $40. Race-day registration under a tent on the boardwalk costs $50 and is available on the morning of the event. The first 100 pre-registered entrants receive an event t-shirt.
Amenities & After-Party
All registered participants receive complimentary food and discounted drinks. A DJ provides music for a small after-party. The food menu includes items such as fruit cocktail, breakfast English muffins, fried white corn tortillas, and crispy chicken wings. An on-site chiropractic service offers athlete stretching and giveaways.
Awards
An awards ceremony takes place at The Terrace at Hard Rock after the race. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. First-place age group medals are awarded for both male and female categories across multiple age divisions.
