Run the Legacy 5K
The Run the Legacy 5K takes place at the Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. This event is scheduled for late September and proceeds regardless of rain or sunshine. The race follows a multi-surface out-and-back route that begins at the winery and leads to Egg Harbor City Lake before returning to the start area.
The course is primarily composed of packed dirt roads that pass through wooded areas. There are only minimal sections of pavement along the route. Post-race activities at the winery include live music, lunch options, and seasonal beverages such as fall-themed coffee and cocktails.
Participants in the 5K receive an official 2026 race t-shirt. Awards are presented to the first overall male and female finishers, who receive a gift card to the winery and a custom medal. Medals are also awarded to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories:
- 5K (ages 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+)
