Seawolf Shuffle 5K Run/Walk
The Seawolf Shuffle is presented as the second annual campus 5K run and a youth fun run at Stony Brook University, open to faculty, staff, students, alumni and their families. The event is listed as free for Stony Brook University community members, and donations to the university Hardship Fund are accepted.
Distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run
Amenities noted for participants include medals for the first 300 finishers, live and text and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those registered at least three weeks in advance. Awards include top overall male, female, and nonbinary finishers, and prizes for youth participants.
Bib pickup is managed by event staff; participants must know their bib number or use a self lookup area. If a registration is completed within 24 hours of bib pickup, the bib number may be delivered by text within about 90 seconds.
The course begins and finishes at the Stony Brook Union Patio and follows John S. Toll Drive and Circle Road on sidewalks. All participants are instructed to remain on sidewalks throughout the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
