Seawolf Shuffle 5K Run/Walk
The Seawolf Shuffle is a campus 5K run/walk organized by Healthier U at Stony Brook University. The event is presented as the Second Annual Seawolf Shuffle and is open to Stony Brook faculty, staff, students, alumni and their families. Registration is not yet open and will begin before the event date.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Kids 1/2 mile fun run
The course starts and finishes at the Stony Brook Union Patio and follows John S. Toll Drive and Circle Road on sidewalks only. Total distance for the main event is 3.1 miles.
Amenities listed for the event include medals for the first 300 finishers, live/text/email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for participants who register at least three weeks in advance. Awards include top overall finishers in male, female, and nonbinary categories, plus prizes for youth participants.
The event is free for members of the Stony Brook University community. Donations are welcome for the Hardship Fund, a program that assists eligible faculty and staff experiencing a personal financial emergency who have exhausted other avenues for assistance.
