Seawolf Shuffle 5K Run/Walk
The Seawolf Shuffle is a campus 5K run/walk held in spring at Stony Brook University. It is described as the Second Annual event and is open to Stony Brook University faculty, staff, students, alumni and their families. Registration is not yet open and will open before the event.
The event is free for members of the Stony Brook community. Donations are accepted for the Hardship Fund, a program that assists eligible faculty and staff who are experiencing a personal financial emergency and who have exhausted other avenues for assistance.
Amenities include medals for the first 300 finishers, live, text and email results, free finish-line photos, and personalized bibs for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Awards are given to the overall top male, female and X finishers, and prizes are provided for youth participants.
Bib pickup is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event start time. Participants must know their bib number to pick up a bib; a self-lookup area is available. If registration occurs within 24 hours of bib pickup, the bib number may be sent by text shortly after registration.
The course starts at the Stony Brook Union Patio, follows John S. Toll Drive and Circle Road around campus, and finishes at the end of John S. Toll Drive at the Stony Brook Union Patio. All participants are asked to stay on sidewalks. Total distance is 3.1 miles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
