Seawolf Shuffle 5K Run/Walk
The Seawolf Shuffle is a campus 5K run and walk held at Stony Brook University. It is presented as the Second Annual Seawolf Shuffle and is open to Stony Brook University faculty, staff, students, alumni and their families. Registration is not yet open and will begin before the event.
The course starts at the Stony Brook Union Patio, follows John S. Toll Drive east, continues along Circle Road including the roundabout area on the sidewalk, then returns to John S. Toll Drive to finish at the Stony Brook Union Patio. All participants are asked to stay on sidewalks. Total distance is 3.1 miles.
Event amenities include medals for the first 300 finishers, live, text and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for registrations completed at least three weeks in advance. Awards include top overall positions by gender category and prizes for youth participants.
The event is free for eligible members of the campus community. Donations to the Hardship Fund are welcome; the fund assists eligible faculty and staff experiencing a personal financial emergency. Bib pickup is handled by event staff on the day of the event, and a bib lookup option is available for participants who do not know their race number.
