Seawitch Fall Classic Racing Festival Weekend : 5K Classic and 1 Mile Fright Walk
The event on 10/25/2026 takes place at Grove Park in Rehoboth Beach, DE. It features a chip timed 5K and a non-competitive one mile Fright Walk. Proceeds benefit local Lewes/Rehoboth area charities and Toys For Tots in partnership with Apple Electric. The host organization is Seashore Striders and the event is produced by Seashore Strider Event Production Inc.
The weekend includes packet pickup and a pre-race pasta dinner option at a nearby restaurant on the Friday before the race. A silent auction before the awards presentation will raise funds for an annual scholarship. Race amenities include long sleeve 100% cotton pre-shrunk race shirts, a costume contest with a parade of costumes on the trail, and custom awards.
Distances:
- 5K Classic: 3.11 miles, fast and flat course through the pines of Northside Rehoboth
- 1 Mile Fright Walk: 1 mile, out and back on Henlopen Avenue, non-competitive
The 5K course is described as fast and flat and will have chip timing using the ChronoTrack B chip system. Water stops are located at the start/finish and near 2.0 miles at 4th and Henlopen Avenue. Portable toilets are available at the start/finish. Awards for the 5K include Overall, Master and top three finishers in 16 age groups.
