Event Overview
The Seattle Marathon Summer event is a family-friendly run taking place at Seward Park in Seattle. It is an annual event featuring views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier. Dogs are allowed to participate.
Distances
Participants can choose from several race distances:
- Half Marathon: 21.1 km (13.1 miles). The course is a 2-lap route around Seward Park with an out-and-back section on Lake Washington Boulevard South.
- 10K: 10 km (6.2 miles). This is a 2-lap route around Seward Park.
- 5K: 5 km (3.1 miles). This is a 1-lap route around Seward Park.
- Kids Fun Run: 1 km (0.6 miles). A 5K/10K bundle is also available, which combines both distances for a total of 15 km (9.3 miles) over 3 laps. The courses are USATF certified. Virtual options are available for all distances.
Event Details
The event date is Saturday, June 27, 2026. Packet pickup is offered at two locations on the preceding days: West Seattle Runner and Super Jock 'N Jill Green Lake. All participants receive a race shirt, bib, medal, and finish line refreshments.
Awards and Registration
All finishers receive a medal. Cash prizes are awarded to the top 3 overall men, women, and non-binary participants in the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon who finish under specific time limits (25, 45, and 90 minutes, respectively). Age division awards are also given. Complimentary entries are offered for elite athletes who meet specific qualifying times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
