Seattle Ghost Marathon
The Seattle Ghost Marathon is an annual road race organized by NWUltras that offers three distances on a flat, USATF certified course along Lake Washington Boulevard with a loop around Seward Park. The event includes a half marathon, a full marathon and a 50K, and the marathon course is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
The course runs clockwise around Seward Park and along Lake Washington Boulevard with minimal elevation change. Aid stations are stocked and staffed approximately every three miles. Chip timing and live results are provided.
Event logistics include a finish area with heaters, hot post-race food, finisher hoodies and medals. Entry is limited to 400 participants. The race does not allow dogs, strollers or wheelchairs because the route runs mainly on sidewalks and has limited width. Drop off is available at the Ferdinand Street Boat Launch; free parking is available in surrounding neighborhoods.
NWUltras is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that organizes the race, and race proceeds support K-12 digital access programs for students in underserved communities.
