2026 Seattle Ghost Marathon, Half & 50K

The 2026 Seattle Ghost Marathon, Half Marathon and 50K take place in Seattle, WA on November 28, 2026. This will be the 41st running of the Seattle Ghost Marathon; the event began in 1985 when the Seattle Marathon changed courses and shifted weekend scheduling. The race is managed by the non-profit NW Ultras, with support from Green Lake Crew since 2013. The field is limited to 450 total participants. Packet pickup is on race day.

Course and race details

The start and finish are at the Ferdinand St Boat Launch, 5018 Lake Washington Blvd. S, Seattle, WA 98118 (coordinates provided in event materials). The marathon is a certified Boston Marathon qualifier and is described as very flat. The marathon distance is run as two 13.1-mile loops on streets and sidewalks along Lake Washington. The route runs south with a clockwise loop around Seward Park, returns north to the start/finish, then continues north along Lake Washington through Leschi to a north turnaround just past Madrona Drive. There are aid stations every 3.1 miles on each loop. No dogs or strollers are permitted on the course.
