Seaside Showdown Series: Sugarloaf Path
The event is a 9K trail race on June 19, 2027 in St. John's, NL, held on the Sugarloaf Path between the Marine Lab and Quidi Vidi. The Seaside Showdown Series organizes the race as one of several independent events in the series.
A GPX file will be provided so participants can follow the route on Garmin or other devices, and the series maintains a Strava club with route downloads available. Volunteers will be stationed at key locations to help keep runners on the trail; the course itself is not flagged, so racers are expected to know the route.
Parking is available at both the start and the finish locations. Registration for this event closes on July 18, 2027. Registration entries and bib numbers cannot be transferred to other individuals, though moving a registration to another Seaside Showdown Series race is possible with advance notice. If the event is cancelled, refunds less service fees or rollover registration will be offered.
The race is supported by ECT50 East Coast Trail Ultra Marathon, The Outfitters, Train 4 Trails, and The East Coast Trail Association. A season pass option exists for the series, while each race retains its own registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
