12th Anniversary Seaside Semper Five
The Seaside Semper Five is a running and walking event held in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The event features a certified course located entirely on the boardwalk along the ocean. Participants can choose between several in-person and virtual options:
- 5K Run/Walk (In-person)
- 1 Mile Run/Walk (In-person)
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk (Off-site)
- Virtual 1 Mile Run/Walk (Off-site)
The in-person course requires runners to navigate the boardwalk in both directions. In-person participants receive a long-sleeve tech shirt as part of their registration. An after-party featuring live music is held at the Beachcomber following the events.
The event is organized to support the Marine Raider Foundation. It benefits Marines and Sailors who have been seriously injured or lost their lives in service, as well as their families. In addition to the athletic events, the occasion serves to honor Gold Star Families. Registration for virtual events typically closes one week prior to the physical race date, and participants have until the end of the following week to submit virtual results.
