Seaside Marathon
Seaside Marathon is a road race event held at Solimar Beach in Ventura, California. The event offers multiple distances along the Ventura beachfront and Pacific Coast Highway on a mostly flat route with ocean views.
- Full marathon - two-loop course; price USD 165
- Half marathon - single loop or out-and-back; price USD 135
- 10K - road race; price USD 90
- 5K - road race; price USD 65
The course is USATF certified and designated as a Boston Marathon qualifier. Mile markers are on the course. Water and Gatorade stations are placed roughly every 1.5 miles, and porta-potties are provided along the route. The full marathon has a generous seven-hour time limit, and walkers, strollers, and walking clubs are welcome.
Packet pickup is available the day before at local pickup locations and there is also race day packet pickup with limited last-minute check-in. There is no athlete parking along the beach; organizers provide a free shuttle from designated pickup locations. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall and to the top three in each age group for all distances. The race is part of the Surfers Point Race Series with a special finisher medal for completing the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
