Seaside Marathon - Ventura, CA
Seaside Marathon takes place at Solimar Beach in Ventura and offers road race distances along the beachfront. Distances available include:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The full marathon is a mostly flat, two-loop road course that follows the Ventura beachfront and sections of Historic Old Rincon Highway. The course is USATF certified (certification number CA17064RS) and features mile markers.
Aid and course services are provided during the race. Water and Gatorade stations are placed at approximately 1.5 mile intervals. Portable toilets are available on course and at the park, and additional units are placed at the start area. The full marathon has a seven-hour finish limit. An early-start option is offered for full marathon entrants; early starters must notify organizers in advance, be familiar with the course, and be prepared to carry their own water at the beginning.
Logistics include packet pickup the day before the race at local partner locations, a race-day packet pick-up option, and a free shuttle for athletes and spectators since there is no athlete parking along the beach. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in each age group. The event is part of the Surfers Point Race Series with a special finisher medal for completing all three races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
