43rd Seashore 5 Miler
The Seashore 5 Miler is the 43rd edition of a longstanding five-mile road race held at Grove Park in Rehoboth Beach. Hosted by Seashore Strider Event Production, the race raises funds for local charities in the Cape Region and continues a local race history that included the YMCA 5 Miler and the Henlopen 5 Miler.
The course is described as fast and flat. Timing will be handled using the Chronotrack B Chip system. Finish-line production, custom printed race shirts, and event awards are provided by the organizer.
Registration is available online through RunSignUp and by mail using the universal entry form. Fee tiers are published by the organizer and included early registration, pre-registration, and a higher race-day fee. Participants registered by a published cutoff date are guaranteed a race shirt; later registrations receive shirts while supplies last.
Awards will be presented to overall male and female champions, overall masters (40+), and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories, including 9 & under up to 80+. Awards are presented shortly after the final finisher. Course maps and detailed event policies are provided by the organizer. The event is part of the Seashore Strider Championship Series and counts as one of the series 5-mile races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
