Seacoast Half Marathon
The Seacoast Half Marathon is a road race held in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on October 25, 2026. The event starts and finishes at Portsmouth High School and follows a course that runs through Portsmouth, Rye, and New Castle.
The course is described as fast and mostly flat with a few rolling hills. Runners pass woodlands, salt marshes, the coastline, working waterways, historic homes, and Portsmouth Harbor. Every participant receives a long sleeve race shirt and a medal.
The race directs net proceeds to a nonprofit beneficiary. This year the beneficiary is Krempels Brain Injury Center, a nonprofit focused on improving the lives of people living with acquired brain injury through evidence based programming, shared experiences, and peer support. The event has raised nearly $2 million for area nonprofits over its history.
The event includes a team competition with awards for the fastest team and for the largest team; some team awards include food prizes. Volunteers are recruited for on course and off course roles and receive a Seacoast Half shirt, coffee, and other treats. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
