Seacoast Half Marathon - Portsmouth, NH
The Seacoast Half Marathon is an annual road race held in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, that follows a coastal course through the historic communities of Portsmouth, Rye, and New Castle. The course starts and finishes at Portsmouth High School and is described as fast and mostly flat with a few rolling hills.
The route provides views of woodlands, salt marshes, the rugged coastline, working waterways, historic homes, and Portsmouth Harbor. The event takes place on October 25, 2026.
The race is organized as a local charitable event. Net proceeds benefit area nonprofits; this year's beneficiary is Krempels Brain Injury Center, an organization focused on improving the lives of people with acquired brain injury through evidence-based programming, shared experiences, and peer support. The Seacoast Half Marathon has raised nearly $2 million for area nonprofits over its history.
Participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a medal. The event also supports participant fundraising and accepts donations to benefit the designated nonprofit. Volunteer roles are available for on- and off-course duties with varying start times and lengths. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
