Event Information
The Seacoast Half Marathon is a half marathon in coastal New Hampshire. The 2026 event will be its 21st annual edition. The scenic course winds through the historic coastal communities of Portsmouth, Rye, and New Castle. The race starts and finishes at Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Course Description
The course is described as fast and mostly flat with a few rolling hills. It offers views of woodlands, salt marshes, the coastline, working waterways, historic homes, and Portsmouth Harbor. The event's tagline is "Caring for the Coast, One Step at a Time."
Beneficiary and Sponsorship
The event is a purely charitable race, with 100% of net proceeds going to a nonprofit organization that serves the communities of the New Hampshire Seacoast. It has raised nearly $2 million for area nonprofits since its inception. Applications for the 2026 race beneficiary are accepted with a deadline of February 1, 2026.
