Great Bay 55K
The Great Bay 55K is offered as a virtual challenge connected to the Great Bay 5K weekend in Stratham, New Hampshire. The 55K distance can be completed as a single effort in one day or as cumulative miles between October 1 and October 24, 2026. Registration for the 55K opens April 1, 2026 and closes August 30, 2026. The registration fee for the virtual 55K is $30.00.
With virtual registration, participants receive a long sleeve race shirt if they register by October 1, 2026, and a race bib that includes one coupon redeemable for a free beer or cider. The in-person Great Bay 5K takes place at Stratham Hill Park and has a separate registration fee of $35.00. The 5K course passes the shores of Great Bay and is described as mostly downhill.
Wheelchair racers are welcome at the event. Motorized wheelchairs are not permitted, and wheelchair racers are responsible for maintaining their own equipment.
All proceeds from the Great Bay 5K support the non profit Great Bay Stewards. That organization supports conservation, education, community outreach, stewardship, and research related to the Great Bay Estuary.
