Event Overview
The Seaboard Festival 5K is an annual athletic event held in Hamlet, North Carolina. This themed race celebrates the local history of the Seaboard Railroad and coincides with the autumn season. Participants follow a route through a residential neighborhood in the downtown area, navigating a course characterized by rolling hills.

Custom finishers medals with a Railroad and Halloween theme are provided to the first 350 participants who complete the race. Competitors are recognized in several categories, with awards presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are given to the top three finishers within 10 year age group increments.
Registration includes specific benefits based on the date of entry. Participants who register by a set deadline in early October are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Revenue generated from race registrations and donations supports the provision of three scholarships at Richmond Community College.
