Event overview

The Seaboard Festival 5K takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Hamlet, NC (406 McDonald Avenue, 28345). This is the 42nd annual edition. The event offers two distance options:

5K Run
Virtual 5K

Registration prices listed are $35 for the 5K Run and $55 for the Virtual 5K. The site shows 349 spots remaining for the 5K Run and 300 spots remaining for the Virtual 5K. Prices increase after September 30, 2026.

Course, awards and community support

The course follows a Seaboard Railroad theme and goes through a residential neighborhood with rolling hills in downtown Hamlet. The top 350 finishers will receive a custom Railroad/Halloween themed finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers. Age group awards are given three deep in 10-year age groups. The event supports local education by offering three scholarships at Richmond Community College funded through donations and race registrations.
